Family Holidays: Kruger Park
Review of Kruger National Park & family holidays

Kruger National Park is a jewel in South Africa’s already-impressive crown in Johannesburg. It’s a perfect place for a family holiday, allowing you and your children to create some indelible memories of African wilderness. The Park offers a number of family holidays and packages designed to help you and your kids get the most out of this special place. Let’s take a look at some of the family packages available at Kruger National Park…

Bring the Whole Family

With a fully catered and staffed lodge and personalized attention at all times, this package is all about comfort and a stress-free safari experience. The three day self-rive package costs 1250 Euros per adult, and 550 Euros for kids. For that, you get 3 intimate family suites for your exclusive use, a stunning rock swimming pool and river frontage, Big Five game trips and your own personal ranger and chef.

The Great Trek North

For 750 Euros per person for three days, you will experience the pristine surroundings of the Pafuri region, in the far north end of Kruger Park. Accommodation is in tented suites on raised platforms, and you trip included game drives, walks and bird spotting. The scenery in this part of the park is some of the most diverse in Africa, and is home to all the big game as well as rare local species. You and your family will also get the opportunity to visit a local community at the nearby village of Makulele, where a traditional healer numbers among the inhabitants.

Family Matters

A fabulous two night stay in the south eastern part of Kruger Park, the Family Matters package comes with all the trimming of a safari lodge – swimming pool, Big Five game drives, fine dining and storytelling, gym and spa treatments, and night time wildlife drives. Great for kids and adults, the cost of the trip is 895 Euros per adult, and 360 Euros per child.

Johannesburg offers clean and comfortable accommodation opportunities all year round for the visitors. It is easy to find accommodation, guest houses, B&B and Johannesburg hotels.
