Johannesburg can be a great experience,
especially when combined with some lively local
music. There are many areas you can go to which
are overflowing with different places to enjoy a
nice meal. As Johannesburg is a city which
culturally evolved from immigration like in New
York, there is a diverse palette of world
cuisines and numerous
restaurants in Johannesburg to choose from
for the visitors. People in Johannesburg tend to
eat early. 07.00-08.00 pm. is the best dining

fine restaurants can be found in the popular
dining districts of Johannesburg.
Parkhurst’s food strip on the 4th Avenue
is popular for its sidewalk cafés and
restaurants. The Greenside’s strip on
Gleneagles Road is popular with cafés,
pizza Indian food. The Parktown North
is popular with the steakhouses.
As traditional African food can be
found anywhere but it is very famous in the
Vilakazi Street of Soweto. Melrose
Arch, Sandton, Nelson Mandela Square and
Melville are the other popular
location for fine dining and tasty cuisine
as well as with the new Chinatown including
strip of restaurants and Asian grocery
stores in Cyrildene. Also there are
nice Italian restaurants in Norwood
and Illovo. |
